Acrylonitrile Detection Tubes 0.5/a (0.5 - 20 ppm)
Draeger Short-term Tubes have proven to be a very cost-effective and reliable method for the measurement of gases.
For short-term measurements more than 160 Draeger-Tubes are available to measure the spot concentrations of specific gases. Measurement usually takes between 4 seconds and 15 minutes. The tubes are used either manually with the Draeger-Tube Accuro Pump or automatically with the Draeger X-act 5000.
A wide range of different gases and vapours can be detected and measured, e.g.: Determining and measuring concentration peaks, Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area, Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc., and Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces.

a) CH2 = CH-CN + MnO4 ?> HCN
b1) HCN + HgCl2 ?> HCl
b2) HCl + Methyl red ?> red reaction product |
Cross Sensitivity |
At 4 ppm acrylonitrile there is no effect from:
1,000 ppm acetone,
20 ppm benzene,
1,000 ppm ethyl acetate
In the presence of 500 ppm ethanol, 1000 ppm n-hexane or 100 ppm toluene:
Acrylonitrile is indicated with lower sensitivity and determining the concentration is not possible. In the presence of 400 ppm butadiene, the indication of 4 ppm acrylonitrile is largely suppressed. |
