Hydrazine Detection Tubes 0.01/a (0.01 - 6 ppm)
For short-term measurements more than 160 Draeger-Tubes are available to measure the spot concentrations of specific gases. Measurement usually takes between 4 seconds and 15 minutes. The tubes are used either manually with the Draeger-Tube Accuro Pump or automatically with the Draeger X-act 5000.
A wide range of different gases and vapors can be detected and measured, such as:
- Determining and measuring concentration peaks
- Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area
- Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc.
- Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces

0.01 to 0.4 ppm / 0.5 to 6 ppm |
Number of Strokes (n): |
see tube* / 5 |
Time for Measurement: |
approx. 20 to 30 min / approx. 1 min |
Standard Deviation: |
20 to 25 % |
Colour Change: |
pale gray ?> gray-brown |
Temperature: |
10 to 30 C |
Absolute Humidity: |

Reaction Principle: |
N2H4 + Silver Salt ??> gray-brown reaction product |
Cross Sensitivity: |
1.1-Dimethylhydrazin and Monomethylhydrazine are shown with the same sensitivity (Standard Deviation 50 %) 5 ppm Ammonia at 100 strokes result in a measurement of approx. 0.01 ppm Hydrazine. At 5 strokes, Ammonia will also not be shown in high
concentrations. |
* Number of strokes is printed on the tube. As a result of manufacturing of processes the number of strokes can vary between 100 to 150 strokes for the low measuring range. |
