Hydrogen Fluoride Detection Tubes 1.5/b (1.5 - 15 ppm)
For short-term measurements more than 160 Draeger-Tubes are available to measure the spot concentrations of specific gases. Measurement usually takes between 4 seconds and 15 minutes. The tubes are used either manually with the Draeger-Tube Accuro Pump or automatically with the Draeger X-act 5000.
A wide range of different gases and vapors can be detected and measured, such as:
- Determining and measuring concentration peaks
- Measuring personal exposure in the inhalation area
- Detecting leaks in pipelines, gas installations etc.
- Air analysis in sewers, shafts and confined spaces

Standard Measuring Range: |
1.5 to 15 ppm |
Number of Strokes (n): |
20 |
Time for Measurement: |
approx. 2 min |
Standard Deviation: |
±15 to 20% |
Color Change: |
pale blue ?> pale pink |
Temperature: |
15 to 30° C |
Absolute Humidity: |
max. 9 mg H2O / L |
Reaction Principle: |
HF + Zr(OH)4 / Quinalizarin ??> [ZrF6]2- + Quinalizarin |
Cross Sensitivity: |
In the presence of higher humidity (> 9 mg H2O / L), hydrogen fluoride mist is generated, which cannot be quantitatively indicated by the detector tube (i.e. the indication is too low). Other halogenated hydrocarbons in the TLV range do not interfere. |
