Gastec Detector Tube No 171 is used for the detection of Acetylene in air of industrial areas or environmental atmospheric conditions.
- Measuring Range of
- 0.05 to 0.1% - 2 pump strokes
- (0.1) to 2% - 1 pump stroke
- 2 to 4% - 1/2 pump stroke
- Sampling Time: 45 seconds per pump stroke
- Detecting Limit: 0.02% (2 pump strokes)
- Changes from White to Brown
- Corrections for temperature & humidity: Temperature correction is necessary
- 3 Year Shelf Life
- Store the tubes in a cool and dark place.
- Reaction principle: HC≡CH + I2O5 → H2S2O7 + I2
