This detector tube measures Acrylonitrile within 0.1 to 18.0 ppm.
- Measuring Range:
- 0.1 to 0.2 ppm - 4 pump strokes - Correction Factor: 1/2
- 0.2 to 6.0 ppm - 2 pump strokes - Correction Factor: 1
- 6.0 to 18.0 ppm - 1 pump stroke - Correction Factor: 3
- Sampling Time: 2 minutes per pump stroke
- Detecting limit: 0.05 ppm (4 pump strokes)
- Changes from Yellow to Pink
- Corrections for temperature & humidity: Unnecessary
- Relative Standard Deviation: 10 %（for 0.2 to 2.0 ppm）, 5 %（for 2.0 to 6.0 ppm)
- 3 Year Shelf Life
- Reaction Principle:
- CH2:CHCN + Cr6+ + H2SO4 → HCN
- 2HCN + HgCl2 → 2HCl
- HCl + Base → Chloride
- Store the tubes at a cool and dark place
