The ThreatID by RedWave Technology is the first field-portable FTIR chemical identifier capable of analyzing gases, vapors, liquids and solids from a single device. The powerful portable chemical analyzer equipped standard with more than 22,000 reference spectra, including toxic industrial chemicals, narcotics (including fentanyl), pesticides, explosives, weapons of mass destruction (including 4th generation novichok reagents), and common consumer products.

The ThreatID was purpose-built for emergency response as a fully waterproof and ruggedized chemical analyzer. The large, 10” touch screen display facilitates viewing and usability even in full Level A protection gear. With on-screen video tutorials and user prompts, the ThreatID is simple to use, and the state-of-the-art mixture algorithms and extensive library will help to identify a wide range of substances.

Unit must be ordered with at least one module to operate. Choose from a 4 Meter Gas Cell Module, a Solid/Liquids module, or both modules.

ThreatID Gas Module

Gases present the greatest danger, but until now there have been few easy-to-use techniques to identify them with chemical analyzers. Only about 1mL of headspace from volatile liquids is needed to collect a good identification sample. When there is a gas leak that doesn’t have a liquid source or isn’t visible, one would need to collect up to 500mL of sample.

Gas Module Features:

ThreatID Powders/Liquids Module

The powders and liquids module of the ThreatID allows for an incredibly easy method for analyzing a wide array of samples. The sensor is a rugged diamond plate; impervious to attack by chemicals. The sensor’s strength allows the user to crush solids for analysis using the integrated press. Liquids are even easier and do not require any pressure. Simply place the liquid on the sensor. The sensor is also very resistant to chemical attacks and can run samples of any pH without degradation of the sensor.
