SafeAir Ammonia Detection Badges
Ammonia is most commonly used in agriculture as a fertilizer. It is also used as a precursor in manufacturing specialty products including plastics, explosives, textiles, pesticides, dyes, and other chemicals. In addition, ammonia can also be found in many common household cleaning solutions. Ammonia gas is a respiratory and eye irritant, which may cause burning sensations, coughing, wheezing and headaches, even at low concentrations.
SafeAir Ammonia badges provide an immediate visual indication of exposure to ammonia. When ammonia gas or vapor is present, the exclamation mark in the triangular window on the back side of the badge changes color. The intensity of the color change is proportional to the exposure dose. SafeAir Ammonia badges are a simple, cost-effective solution for ammonia detection in the workplace.
