SafeAir Hydrazine Dual Level Detection Badges
Hydrazine is a colorless liquid with a penetrating odor comparable to that of ammonia. It is used predominantly as a fuel for rocket and jet engines and in the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals. Hydrazine vapor is extremely destructive to the tissues of the mucous membranes and the upper respiratory tract. Symptoms of exposure may include coughing, wheezing, laryngitis, shortness of breath, headache, nausea and vomiting. NIOSH recommends that hydrazine be handled with extreme caution and should be considered as a potential occupational carcinogen in the workplace.
SafeAir Hydrazine Dual Level badges provide an immediate visual indication of exposure to hydrazine at two sensitivity levels. The front of the badge detects hydrazine at 8 ppb/hour, the same as the standard SafeAir hydrazine badge. The back of the badge is more sensitive, detecting hydrazine at 4 ppb/hour. SafeAir Dual Level Hydrazine badges are a simple, cost-effective, and precise solution for hydrazine detection in the workplace.
Features:
- Highly sensitive and selective to target chemical
- Easy to use
- Ideal for daily employee screening or leak detection
