The revolutionary StemRad 360 Gamma is the world’s first wearable shield that provides meaningful protection against harmful gamma radiation. The shield’s full compatibility with existing PPE and its optimized design provide the wearer with the mobility required to perform critical tasks in the event of a nuclear incident.

Each kit includes a patented personal radiation meter, monitor and alarm. Affixed to the 360 Gamma shoulder strap with custom pouch, the device operates non-stop, 24/7 and will promptly warn the wearer of the presence of unseen, but acutely dangerous levels of radiation.

Kits also include a 5-year supply of dosimeter cards. When exposed to radiation, the sensing strip develops a blue color instantly and the color intensifies as the dose increases. Radiation exposure can be estimated simply by matching the color of the sensing strip with the adjacent color reference bars. Dosimeter card is inserted into slot on the inside of the 360 Gamma, thereby providing the shielded cumulative dose.

Features:

• Fire Resistance: Tested to heat resistance at 180°C (ISO 17493) and flame spread (ISO 15025) in accordance with clauses 6.1 and 6.5 of EN 469:2005/A 1 :2006+AC:2006. Was found to experience no ignition, melting or shrinkage due to the heat exposure and no flaming, hole formation, melting, flaming/molten debris, after-flame greater than 2s in duration, after-glow greater than 2s in duration, when exposed to flame.
• Ballistics Protection: Tested in live range and found to meet NIJ STD 0101.04 Level IIIA Ballistics Protection.
• Materials: Structure: Patented, variable thickness selective shielding architecture, which optimizes protection. Shielding Core: Virgin Lead, Stainless Steel and Teflon- primary materials. Harness: Kevlar.
