These viton gaskets should be inspected on a regular basis and replaced if they are used in an emergency situation or found to be impaired during inspection. Gaskets have a recommended maximum shelf-life of 4 years. For convenience and ease of inspection, all emergency kit gaskets are stamped with the date of manufacture.
